Date.com Review

Date.com was launched in 1997 and then upgraded and relaunched as a subscription service on Feb 14th 2000. Date.com has well over 2 million members with 250,000 new sign-ups monthly.

Joining the site is easy, but be prepared to write a lot about yourself during the free sign-up process – as profile creation is a required part of the process. This consists of multiple choice questions… and an essay!

Date.com is a fully featured on-line dating site – particularly so for premium members, with the now usual advanced searches by region, profile characteristics and keyword, being joined by a computerised auto-match facility connecting you with like-minded members based on your profile characteristics, likes and dislikes.

A useful feature is the regular date.com e-zine you’ll receive containing dating tips and profile hints with a wide variety of dating articles covering everything from the psychology of online dating, to chat-up line ideas, suggestions for first dates and pretty much all you’ll need to make a success of your on-line dating experience.

As a premium member, you can record your own video and audio greetings, instant message other members, access public and private chat rooms and use the internal e-mail tool, keeping your personal e-mail address private until such a time as you want to give it to your date. Importantly, premium members have their profile listed at the top of searches getting themselves in front of many more potential dates eyeballs!

  1. I see some people made reviews that it’s a faked site with no real profiles.I don’t think so.Date.com has a free trial. People who don’t believe it can have a try. Remember what you see is true.

  2. I met my wife on date.com 5 years ago so theyre doing something right! I’ve obviously not been on for a while but it was great back then.
