eHarmony.com Overview

eHarmony.com is an online dating website grounded in relationship science that matches single men and women for long-term relationships. To optimize the matching process, eHarmony operates eHarmony Labs, a relationship research facility, and publishes eHarmony Advice, a relationship advice site. eHarmony, which was launched on August 22, 1998, is based in Pasadena, California; it has members in more than 150 countries

eHarmony was launched in the UK in July 2008, as an alternative online dating site for singles looking for a long-term relationship. In the USA eHarmony has developed into the most trusted relationship website and as they proudly announce, eHarmony is responsible for nearly 5% of all new U.S. marriages.

eHarmony’s Compatibility Matching System is based on a rigorous scientific approach to relationships and they have developed models of compatibility particularly adapted for the British resident population.

eHarmony matches you with like-minded singles based on key dimensions of compatibility, such as humour, intelligence and passion.

One very important aspect about eHarmony, is that you can’t search profiles. They’ll rather send you compatible matches – as they say, eHarmony is a relationship site, not a dating site.

Free services include: Reviewing profiles, sending icebreakers, a free mobile App download and a detailed personality profile.

Paid services include: Being able to call your matches without revealing your number, a deeper analysis of your personality test, viewing matched photos, requesting photos from your matches, seeing who has viewed your profile, send/receiving Communication Requests, sending and receiving Guided Communication Requests and much more.

  1. the fact u cant search profiles imho is uselss. whats the point?

  2. Signed up for three months. No one seems to be on this site though I did manage to have dates with FOUR divorcees who were loopy man haters , emotionally not there and who looked nothing like the photos in their profiles. A totally useless site for young single men. It’s full of divorcees and single mums….

  3. Don’t waste your money on eharmoney!! The website always crashes and plenty of fish is much better and free. I joined eharmoney and paid a month subscription; they took 2 months from me and wouldn’t give me a refund on the second month when I queried it. I couldn’t upload a photo of myself and many were rejected, I had to email them and they had to upload it for me. I couldn’t finish my profile because their site crashes when it is busy. I had to email all of the questions to them and they did it. I couldn’t reply to questions from a nice guy that I met through the site and when I asked them to send him on my replies to him they told me that they wouldn’t for privacy reasons. I found a form where there were many other people who had bad experiences like mine with eharmoney. I tried to access the site from various computers with all of the latest software and it was the same story every time. I found the whole experience nothing but frustrating and would advise anyone else to not bother with eharmoney. I would recommend that you go through plenty of fish, I thought that I would get a better service with eharmoney because you had to pay for it but I was very wrong. I have since went onto plenty of fish and the site never crashes, you can do your profile and respond the matches and its free. Happy dating.
